If you’ve missed the memo, the National Register of LGV Instructors are proud to be yet again supporting Talent in Logistics Conference & Awards 2018, taking place on the 21st June 2018 at the Telford International Centre, West Midlands.
The event focuses on tackling key industry issues that NRI instructors like yourselves regularly face, whilst providing the well-deserved recognition LGV professionals rarely receive. So, it was only right for us to again support an event that will add to your profession and up the ante for the industry!
Dealing with some resistance to learning? Hear from Melanie Luteijn FCIPD, a Training & HR Consultant from Go Further Goals, who tells you all about overcoming this resistance and how to create an environment that welcomes organisational and behavioural change. With over 20 years’ experience helping SME’s, her role in ensuring engagement amongst employees within their training & development has successfully provided these organisations with the productivity and effectiveness improvements they were craving.
The future of training can be a distant thought as an instructor, but with technological changes proactively shifting the way the industry operates, it’s important to stay in the loop and plan ahead as they significantly shape your role as an LGV instructor. On the day you will have the opportunity to do just that as you hear from the DVSA’s very own Deputy Chief Driving Examiner and Head of Rider and Vocational Policy, Mark Winn, about the future of driver training and testing. The thought-provoking panel discussion featuring Derek Wright, the People Director at Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), will focus on the questions surrounding the changes that will be needed as the industry moves towards a more automated future.
Besides the advice and knowledge, what else can you gain from the conference? With an agenda that provides significant relevance to professional development, CILT UK has agreed to give all NRI Instructors and CILT UK members 3 CPD hours. If a day out of the office wasn’t a good enough reason, we believe the benefits the seminar will contribute to your profession, your role and your organisation are more than worth the investment.
Talent in Logistics is also holding an Awards ceremony celebrating the unsung heroes of the industry for their hard work and dedication that keeps the country on its feet. With 16 awards up for grabs, LGV awards included, and an upheaval of entries, the NRI’s very own Rich Brewer was approached to be a judge for this years’ awards. We are proud that Rich’s expertise in the industry has been recognised and gives him the opportunity to ensure LGV professionals are acknowledged for all they do by being named LGV Driver, LGV Instructor, Transport Manager or LGV Driver Training Provider of the Year – just to name a few. Keep an eye out for the finalist shortlist which will be officially announced by the 1st May 2018!
Tickets are also quickly selling out, so if the opportunity to expand your knowledge, skills and your CPD hours hearing from only the best in the industry makes this event unmissable for you, book your tickets here today.
