Is your training business fit to become an impartial Centre of Excellence, for the assessment of Instructors and Assessors?
To ensure that LGV Instructors and Assessors and Driver CPC Instructors have access to the NRI examinations, we have approved exam centres in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
The criteria for becoming an Exam Centre is straight forward and takes into account the vehicles and facilities used for the Instructor and Assessor examinations, including Driver CPC Instructors.

CRITERIA FOR BECOMING AN NRI EXAM CENTRE
Approval as an Exam Centre enables in-house operations and commercial training providers to offer an on-site examination at the end of their training process.
Several criteria are used for the initial approval and annual auditing of approved Exam Centres by NRI and covers:
- Examination Centre Contact
- Theory and In-class Test Facilities
- Vehicles Used for Driving Ability and In-cab Test Elements
- Manoeuvring Area
- Administration and Quality Assurance

The fees shown below are what the NRI charges for companies to become an NRI Exam Centre. Prices shown are per site, not per company.

ABOUT THE REGISTER
The National Register of Instructors (NRI) is the only Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) endorsed Instructor register developed by the industry for the industry. There are currently 560 Instructors and Assessors on the National Register.
The not-for-profit Register is operated by RTITB and supported by Logistics UK and the Road Haulage Association (RHA). All of whom sit on the governance committee and oversee the standards and future development of the Register. The NRI also issues AFV training certification to drivers, as well as supporting those delivering training and/or assessment to Category B+E licence holders.
